Steve Luther is a passionate Aurora Borealis chaser and photographer, who is also doing graduate-level Space Weather study at Millersville University of Pennsylvania. He's a passionate presenter, offering talks and seminars about the Northern Lights, photography, space weather and the night sky in person and virtually.

I love the night sky, and especially the Northern Lights! After photographing nightscapes and chasing the Aurora for years, I wanted to know even more - especially the science behind what causes the Aurora. So now I've become one of the very few photographers who also has formal space weather training - so not only can I teach Aurora photography but also the science behind what causes the Northern Lights.I was so intrigued that I went back to school to study Space Weather at the graduate level at Millersville University of Pennsylvania, in a unique program taught by experts in space physics, policy-making and space weather forecasting. That knowledge has uniquely positioned me as more than just an Aurora photographer and someone who truly understands and can effectively communicate the science behind Aurora, what space weather is and how it affects our daily lives here on planet Earth.I love public speaking, presenting and teaching. Interest in Aurora has exploded and everyone wants to know how to see it, photograph it, experience it in some way.
